Tim Spencer grew up in Daytona, started playing in Youth Groups as well as worship teams, including the "Attic Band" which later became Mercy Me. Tim co-wrote three songs on Mercy Me's first independent realease "Pleased to Meet You" and the song "The Attic" was featured in the film "I Can Only Imagine." Tim started out as a drummer, but learned the guitar and loved writing songs. In 1995 Tim was approached by First Baptist Daytona to play at the Teen Challenge Mission on Ora Street. Tim didn't mention he didn't have a band, but knew enough people he was able to put it together. This also was an opportunity for Tim to get out from behind the kit and get behind the mic and the Ora Street Mission Band was born.
Tim Mallace attended the University of South Carolina and earned a music degree there. More importantly, he was born again during that time after learning about God’s salvation through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. After college he returned to his hometown of Daytona Beach and began playing bass in the orchestra and youth praise band at First Baptist of Daytona Beach. That is where he met Tim Spencer who played guitar and drum set for the youth praise band from time to time. Spencer invited Mallace to join a band he was forming with his friend Bill Zachary. Mallace continued to play in various praise bands throughout his life and was overjoyed to reunite with Spencer upon his return to Daytona Beach.
Matt has been playing on worship teams and church camps for as long as he can remember. He currently is a student at Daytona State where he is studying Sound Production! Matt is a wild man behind the kit with his own unique style, being a real powerful addition to the band!
