Tim Spencer grew up in Daytona, started playing in Youth Groups as well as worship teams, including the "Attic Band" which later became Mercy Me. Tim co-wrote three songs on Mercy Me's first independent realease "Pleased to Meet You" and the song "The Attic" was featured in the film "I Can Only Imagine." Tim started out as a drummer, but learned the guitar and loved writing songs. In 1995 Tim was approached by First Baptist Daytona to play at the Teen Challenge Mission on Ora Street. Tim didn't mention he didn't have a band, but knew enough people he was able to put it together. This also was an opportunity for Tim to get out from behind the kit and get behind the mic and the Ora Street Mission Band was born.

An exciting musical performance integrating encouragement and ministry. And maybe a few jokes. Our goal is to preach the gospel and proclaim God's kingdom - and play a few songs while we are at it. Our songs are evangelical in nature, but also encouraging the body of Christ and declaring mission to reach the nations!

Our mission has always been and will always be to proclaim the good news of Jesus! Ora Street Mission Band started the "Future City Music Festival" as a way to bring great Christian Music to Volusia County, FL by creating a worship and outreach event annually in February.
