Who is the Ora Street Mission Band?

An exciting musical performance integrating encouragement and ministry. And maybe a few jokes. Our goal is to preach the gospel and proclaim God's kingdom - and play a few songs while we are at it. Our songs are evangelical in nature, but also encouraging and declaring our walk with the Lord. We are a great band for a church event, an outreach or just because you want to hear a band where the lyrics aren't profane. We have experience in playing at recovery centers, youth groups and church events as well as outreaches.
Tim Spencer
Founder of Ora Street Misson Band
Tim Spencer was a Volusia County Lifeguard attending college when he got the call asking for a band to play at the Teen Challenge Mission at the church on Ora Street. He gathered some friends and they put together a few songs. They set up behind the traditional two pulpit alter and played their hearts out for the teenagers going through the recovery program. Every Friday for 6 months they played and started to incorporated original songs. As that opportunity ended, more seemed to materialize and the Ora Street Mission Band was born. The goal was always to glorify God through music. Its even more fun to do it with friends and for a greater purpose - God's Kingdom.
Our Mission
Our mission has always been and will always be to proclaim the good news of Jesus! We have a somewhat turnkey system, where we can setup and play anywhere. We have played festivals, prisons, recovery centers, churches, showcases, bandshells and evangelical events. We would love to come and play for you!
